The Carolina Rover will take you, your family and friends out on a 4 hour Eco-tourism cruise that is guaranteed to be unlike any other attraction along the Grand Strand. Our comfortable shaded 40 ft. pontoon boat cruises on smooth inland waters to a remote barrier island where the Winyah Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. Glide through a bird-watcher's paradise by South Carolina's oldest and operational lighthouse, the Georgetown Light (1811), she has lit the way for over two centuries of seafarers. Disembark on North Island to explore and beach comb where the sea unfolds her secrets, depositing an ever-changing array of shelling opportunities. Observe the sight of a Civil War wreck, the Union flagship USS Harvest Moon, while our on-board naturalists delivers an informative commentary with reference to our historic plantation tidelands. Keep an eye out for Dolphins, Bald Eagles, Shore Birds, Alligators, Sturgeon, and maybe even Sea Turtles! This cruise is a wonderful unique experience for all ages.

The Carolina Rover is a United States Coast Guard inspected vessel and is certified to carry 41 passengers (adults and children). Personal Flotation Devices (life vests) are not worn during the cruise or on the island. USCG required Type II (child) PFD's are approved for children weighing 33 - 89 lbs.  USCG required TYPE II (adult) PFD's are approved for larger children and adults weighing 90 - 311 lbs. or 52 inch chest size maximum. USCG approved commercial PFD's are not manufactured in larger sizes. If you wish to bring your own PFD it must be labeled USCG approved.

All tickets are purchased in advance through our secure reservation system. If you do not have the resources to facilitate the transaction, call us and we will be glad to go online for you. The 8.5% per ticket transaction fee applies to all purchases, whether you do it or we do it for you.

All pets are prohibited. This policy is in effect due to vast online availability of service license for purchase.
